When I was a little kid my friend Polly’s mom Carol always gavemy brother and I a Hallmark ornament every year at Christmas. He would get one with a chess board (chesschampion) or a Simpson’s character (lover of Itchy and Scrathy). I would get one of a blonde girl holding acat or playing basketball. Whatever wewere into she’d get us that in ornament form. When I moved out and got my first apartment I had this teeny little treeon top of a table in the corner of our living room. It was the perfect size to use those 80’s/90’sHallmark ornaments on.

Ornament Holiday CardsWhen my girl M was born I got her a baby’s first Christmas one. Then as a toddler she was into the Bubble Guppies and Daniel Tiger. In preschool her tastes matured into Paw Patrol adventure stories. Now I’m looking at her hobbies. She’s a fantastic swimmer (her teacher callsher ‘mermaid-kitty’), dancer, and a huge animal lover. She also has a little baby sister now. So many things that I come across bring herto mind, I feel like I could fill a whole six foot tree with ones that remindme of her. Our new baby W is onenow. I wonder who she will become, whatmusic she will like to listen to, what style clothes she’ll want to wear, whatcareer she will have. That is yet to beseen, but now I have my eyes on a sweet heart ornament to personalize with hername since she is the most joyful, happy, lovey babe.
Happy holidays everyone. Enjoy shopping for your loved ones and don’t forget to enjoy the little things.
Xx, Clare
