My message to you:

I haven’t met you yet, but I care about you and want you to be happy, healthy, and loved.  I hope you’re in a great place and looking to bring some fun into your life, but if you’re not in a good place I’ve been there too and you’re not alone. I wish I could take your struggles away, but there are resources and as you fight for your health I hope you can feel my support for your fight and soak up our good energy, find solace and comfort. I create content here to bring good into your life.  We’re only here on Earth for a short time.  I pray I have improved your life.  If I have improved your life in any way please let me know.  I will treasure your words and they will be worth more than diamonds and pearls.  Here’s my soul.  I hope you enjoy your time here! Hugs, Clare

Who Am I?

Hello,  I’m Clare.  From my heart to yours welcome!  If you don’t know me I’m a mom of two, married for fifteen-ish years, workin’, playin’, and livin’ on the Central Coast.  I’m kind of sort of awkward, but that’s part of my charm!   I love to do special things for people in my life and make people smile and snort and laugh. I am a daughter, sister, niece, wife, mother, friend.  I’m a Catholic who enjoys studying Buddhist precepts.  I got the nickname Cleo from my brother when we were little.  I’m a flexible Scorpio.  I’m an office goddess who sucks at typing.   I’m intolerant of bigots.   I’m a thirty nine year old lady who doesn’t like to be called ma’am, but can’t wait to turn forty.  I can remember the slightest details of my first grade classroom, but can’t remember to bring my lunch to work.  I’m a California native whose favorite place to visit is Harlem.  I love to laugh, but have a clown phobia.  I have struggled with anxiety, but love speaking in front of people. My fictional heroes are Sarah Connor from the second Terminator movie and Atticus Finch from To Kill A Mocking Bird.  My real life heroes are Kamala Harris and Mister Rogers.

How can you help me?

I’m here to help you nurture your mind, body, and spirit via all five senses, on the Central Coast of CA and beyond.  I’ll bring you all of the best ideas, products, people, art, and services to bring joy and love and peace and beauty to you, your family, your friends, those in your community, and your brothers and sisters around the world.

Do you like treating yourself, your family, and those around you well?  Then this community is for you!

Where does the name “Oh These Are The Good Old Days” come from?

I think it came form the Kesha/Macklemore song.

Why did you start a blog?

My energy healer (yes, I have an energy healer) pulled a card during a reading in March and told me that she felt that big things were coming my way.  I don’t know if that is what sparked this all, but at least a little but responsible.

Launched September 2018 ‘Oh These Are The Good Old Days’ is a lifestyle blog that includes articles on how to nurture your mind, body, and spirit through all your five senses, lists of the best things to add to your days, preserving memories to be savored later.

Mission Statement

To support you in your pursuit of happiness, help you to find joy, humor, inspiration, encouragement and be your place of refuge, a warm virtual hug and high five.

Vibes

If you enjoy the humor and silliness of The Office, Saturday Night Live, or Melissa McCarthy movies, the joie de vivre of “A Beautiful Mess” or “Oh Joy!” then this is probably, for sure the place for you!

Why I created this site:

I created this site because after years of curating my Pinterest pages Over the years I’ve developed a passion for making the world a better place.  I felt like I really wanted to share my favorite things with you, the best of the ideas around the (internet) world with you.  Here are all of the crème de la crème!  Many ideas are sourced from many mothers, fathers, artists, humanitarians, funnymen’s magical pages and I’ve integrated them into my life. Family rituals, trying to raise good humans and document every bit of cute my babes bring to the world.

I’m a kindness influencer, a giggle giver (just ask me about my voice impersonations “talents”).

I want to improve my surroundings and the world at large.  My focus should first be on myself, then my kids and husband, my immediate family (mom, dad, bro), my friends and coworkers, the community I live in, Our Mother Earth.  I’ll bring you ways to be good to each of these.
